A Few Ground Rules
Sasonian is meant to be an enjoyable place to reconnect, remember old times, exchange ideas and keep in touch. A little common sense and consideration should be enough to keep it that way.
Be civil
Disagreement, debate and a bit of good-natured banter are all welcome. Personal abuse, harassment and threats are not.
Respect people's privacy
Please do not publish another person's private information, correspondence, phone number or other personal details without permission.
Commercial activity and Classifieds
Selling, advertising and commercial solicitation are not permitted in the ordinary discussion forums.
Member-to-member sales, wanted notices, and Sasonian businesses or services may be posted only through Sasonian Classifieds, subject to the Classifieds rules, participation requirements and administrator review.
Sasonian provides a listing facility only and is not a party to any transaction. Members are responsible for making their own enquiries and exercising appropriate care before making payment, exchanging goods or engaging a service.
Post as yourself
Do not impersonate another Sasonian or deliberately misrepresent who you are. The value of this community depends on members being able to trust one another.
Keep it reasonably clean
Please avoid profane, obscene or deliberately offensive language and material. Obvious profanity may be blocked automatically before a post is published.
Help keep discussions useful
Try to post in the appropriate section and avoid flooding the forum with duplicate, meaningless or deliberately disruptive posts.
Moderation is there to keep the place pleasant
Moderators may move, lock, hide or remove posts when necessary. Serious or repeated misuse may result in a warning or suspension.
Sasonian is an alumni community forum and is not an official channel for lodging complaints or grievances about current school matters, staff, students or administration. Where a matter genuinely needs the School's attention, please use the appropriate official St. Augustine's School channel instead.
